Breakdowns and the Body

How do breakdowns effect the body? Hopefully you found out how your breakdown attacked the body and how that impacts the way a system functions. We will discuss as a class how your specific breakdown effects the body and then try to figure out how breakdowns in general effect the body.

System Breakdown Investigation

You will begin your individual investigation on a specific breakdown. Use multiple resources even if you can find all the information for the packet at one source make sure it is accurate by finding at least one more source to verify the information. We will start class with watching the Monsters Inside Me Video, think about how this breakdown affected the body compared to the fish bacteria.

System Breakdowns

We will continue with the second portion of the Human Body Unit. We will be focusing on what happens when there is a breakdown in one of the body systems. How does it affect the body and how does the body respond? You will pick one specific breakdown to focus on and see how it affects the body and how it responds.

Review Systems & Post Test

We will review briefly what systems are, how they work together & why it is important. Do not worry about the post test all of the questions are general questions and if you have been paying attention and participating in class you will do a great job on the test.

Finalize Packet & Present Final Claim

You will have the first part of class to finalize your sources and complete your final claim & evidence. The second part of class will be used presenting your final claim. You and your partner will present what you have found out about how systems work together. Remember because of Iowa Assessment there will be no passes during class, use the 4 minutes during passing time to use the restroom and get a drink.

Finish Video & Classmates Notes

We will finish the second video during the first part of class, remember you can use the video as a source. We will spend the second part of class discussing with your classmates what they have found out about how systems work together.

Continue With Research

We will continue with researching how systems work together. We will finish up source 1 with the video and then you and your partner can work on source 2.
