The Nervous System

We will watch a video for the first half of class on how the Nervous System responds to certain situations and how the brain can be tricked based on perceptions we have. The second half of class we will go through some of the different areas of the brain and what they specifically control.

Reaction Time and Nervous System

If your class has not completed the reaction time activity you will do that first. After the reaction time activity, you will get with a partner and read through the section on the Nervous System. As you read the section, be prepared to create a short summary on how the Nervous system interprets information.

Different Minds

We are going to complete an activity today looking at how your mind functions. We will go through 4 different stations and you will be able to see how different minds/brains respond to situations/stimuli. You will be completing these activities at your table working with the person next you. You will also have to record how fast your are completing the different activities and then  compare your results ro the rest of the classes.

How Systems Work Together

We will be finishing up how systems work together today and plan on taking the quiz on Wed/Thurs. depending on your Science day. We will spend the first part of class looking at your heart activity. The second part will be looking at how systems work together and try and come up with a general statement to identify how all systems work together.
