9/30 & 10/1 Mixture Activity

We will start looking at the four main types of matter today. We will begin with completing an activity on mixtures. I have attached the mixture activity questions and matter graphic organizer to google classroom. We will be using the mixture questions today in class and will be using the graphic organizer for the next few weeks.

9/28-29/15 Physical and Chemical Properties

We will continue with Physical and Chemical Properties. Be prepared to share your google slides in a small group. After the Bell Ringer if you need to please finish your slides.

9/24-25/15 Vocab Quiz & Properties

We will be starting the class off with our vocab quiz. There is no bell ringer, please be looking over the vocab words so you will be prepared for the quiz. After the quiz you will be going through a Blendspace on Physical and Chemical Properties. Immediately after the quiz you will independently go through the Blendspace and complete the google slide activity at the end.

9/21/22/15 What is an Atom, Identifying Properties

We will spend the first part of class finishing up what are atoms. after completing the bell ringer please go to google classroom and open you packet, classroom.google.com. After completing your class discussion and final claim we will be moving directly into properties, a lot of this should be review. I am sorry I can not be in class today, be respectful and helpful to the sub. You only get one chance to make a first impression, makes sure you make the right one today.

**There will be a vocabulary quiz on Wednesday on Matter, Mass, Volume, Atoms & Properties. You will also have to be able to find Volume of both regular  and Irregular shaped objects.

9/17-18 Cont. with Mass & Volume Activity and What is an Atom?

We will finish up the mass and volume activity from Wednesday. Remember to record your results in your notebook. After a short discussion on what you have found. We will complete some research on what is an atom, you will be in charge of finding two sources that describe what an atom is and provide a definition based on your findings.

9/16/15 Mass & Volume Activity

We will be completing the volume and mass activity today. Be prepared to go over a short power point and then practice finding mass and volume.

9/14-15 Continue with Intro to Matter

We will continue to discuss what is involved in the Matter Unit. We will finish up with the probe, discuss what matter is and start talking about mass & volume. Please remember to have you initial matter web ready for class.

9/10-11/15 Intro to Matter Unit

We will be starting the Matter Unit today. The focus will be making you familiar with the Big Idea, Learning Targets & Transfer Goals. We will spend some time today discussing those objectives and completing the Matter Pretest, I Can Statements & Initial Matter Web.
