System Breakdown Investigation

You will begin your individual investigation on a specific breakdown. Use multiple resources even if you can find all the information for the packet at one source make sure it is accurate by finding at least one more source to verify the information. We will start class with watching the Monsters Inside Me Video, think about how this breakdown affected the body compared to the fish bacteria.

We will continue with the second portion of the Human Body Unit. We will be focusing on what happens when there is a breakdown in one of the body systems. How does it affect the body and how does the body respond? You will pick one specific breakdown to focus on and see how it affects the body and how it responds.

Finalize Packet & Present Final Claim

You will have the first part of class to finalize your sources and complete your final claim & evidence. The second part of class will be used presenting your final claim. You and your partner will present what you have found out about how systems work together. Remember because of Iowa Assessment there will be no passes during class, use the 4 minutes during passing time to use the restroom and get a drink.

We will continue with investigating how systems work together, we will spend a few minutes talking about your claim and evidence and then move into source 1. We will watch one of the Human Body Pushing The Limits Videos, and discuss how the systems work together in some of the different scenarios you will see.
